Head Boys Soccer Coach

Tyler Legacy High School is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered Head Boys Soccer Coach to lead and continue building a competitive and character-driven soccer program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to developing student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally while supporting the mission of Tyler ISD to ensure Successful Student Outcomes for every student.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as Head Boys Soccer Coach for Tyler Legacy High School.

• Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the boys' soccer program including varsity, junior varsity, and sub-varsity levels.

• Develop a comprehensive program that aligns with feeder middle school programs to ensure long-term success.

• Promote academic accountability, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.

• Organize and implement off-season training and strength & conditioning programs with the strength coach at Tyler Legacy in accordance with UIL regulations.

• Coordinate practice schedules, game preparation, scouting, and program development.

• Maintain compliance with UIL, district, and campus policies.

• Build strong relationships with players, parents, staff, and the community.

• Support and collaborate with the campus athletic department and athletic coordinator.

• Participate in athletic department and campus responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate or ability to obtain certification.

• Demonstrated successful coaching experience in soccer at the high school or collegiate level preferred.

• Strong knowledge of soccer strategy, player development, and program management.

• Ability to develop and mentor assistant coaches and student-athletes.

• Commitment to maintaining a positive, disciplined, and team-first culture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or building a successful high school soccer program.

• Experience working with feeder middle school programs to develop athletes.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
