Head Volleyball Coach

We are currently seeking a Head Volleyball Coach to lead our volleyball program at TCS, a Christ-centered school committed to developing students academically, athletically, and spiritually. 

Trinity has a rich tradition of success in volleyball. We have had two coaches over the last 30 years. In that time we have won 9 state championships and have been to the state tournament approximately 15-17 times. Our goal at TCS is to win a state championship in every sport we compete in; however, our Purpose is to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ and with others.

This position is more than coaching a sport—it is an opportunity to mentor student-athletes, model Christlike character, and contribute to a program that values discipline, teamwork, integrity, and faith. The Head Volleyball Coach will be responsible for building and leading a competitive program while fostering spiritual growth and unity among players.
 
Previous Head Coaching experience is preferred for this exciting position.  Prefer candidates that can coach and teach.   Apply at www.tcslubbock.org

We need a coach who fits the mold of Trinity's culture and can continue to build upon this program. 

Teacher/coach

1.      Affirms that, as part of the qualifications for this position, he/she is a "Born Again" Christian who knows the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.  (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23).

2.      Gives testimony that he/she has a sense of God’s will, that teaching is his/her calling, and that teaching in a Christian school is God's direction.

3.      Will manifest and example the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model (1 Timothy 4:12) both in and out of school to pupils (Luke 6:40), and as an example to parents and fellow faculty members in judgment, respect, and Christian living (Colossians 3:17, Titus 2:7-8, 1 Thessalonians 2:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:18, 22-23; James 3:17-18).

4.      Will faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with Trinity Church’s beliefs.  (Hebrews 10:25).

5.      Agrees with, and will abide by, the following TCS statement on Marriage and Sexuality.

“We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen 1:26-27.) Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen 2:18-25.) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Cor 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb 13:4.) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt 15:18-20; 1 Cor 6:9-10.)
We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of Trinity Christian School (TCS) as a local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to TCS students, families, and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by TCS in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality. (Matt 5:16; Phil 2:14-16; 1 Thess 5:22.)

We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 10:9-10; 1 Cor 6:9-11.)

We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of TCS or Trinity Church.”
 
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree. Prefer certified teacher applicants, as well as 3-5 years Head Volleyball coaching experience. A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with our Statement of Faith. A heart for mentoring and developing young people. Strong organizational and communication skills.
