Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Position Overview Juniata College seeks an inspiring and visionary Director of Athletics to lead a dynamic Division III program that emphasizes student success, well-being, and institutional pride. Reporting directly to the President and serving on the President’s Cabinet, the Director will oversee 24 varsity sports, athletic communications, training services, strength and conditioning, and a dedicated team of approximately 60 staff members. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a vision for Juniata athletics that aligns with institutional goals for recruitment, retention, and graduation. Ensure compliance with NCAA and Landmark Conference regulations. Resource Development: Collaborate with Advancement and Alumni Engagement to strengthen donor relationships and secure resources for facilities and programs. Recruitment & Retention: Partner with Enrollment to support student-athlete recruitment and retention strategies that balance academic rigor and athletic success. Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships across campus and with community partners to enhance the student experience and institutional reputation. Diversity & Inclusion: Lead efforts to advance equity and inclusion within athletics through recruitment, professional development, and student programming. Proven success in athletic administration or equivalent leadership experience. Strong understanding of NCAA Division III rules and compliance. Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, fiscal management, fundraising, and facilities oversight. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
