Head Athletic Trainer

Job Description

The Jr. High School Athletic Trainer will oversee the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for all Gainesville ISD athletic programs. This position is a non-teaching role focused solely on athletic training services, program management, and student-athlete health and safety. The trainer will collaborate closely with coaches, administrators, physicians, and parents to operate an effective sports medicine program.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Texas Athletic Trainer License through TDLR (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Strong knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation.
