Athletic Director / Head Football Coach

SALARY RANGE

Negotiable depending on experience (12-month contract)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS      

·        Valid Texas teaching certificate or administrative certificate

·        5+ years of successful teaching and coaching experience

·        Previous experience as a head varsity football coach or varsity O/D Coordinator

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS                

·        Knowledge of overall operations of an athletic program

·        Knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures

·        Knowledge of federal, state, and UIL policies governing athletics

·        Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes

·        Ability to implement policy and procedures

·        Ability to interpret data, manage budget and personnel

·        Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to supervise, evaluate, and recommend the hiring of coaches

·        Ability to manage district athletic operations including directing ticket sales, employing game officials, and ensuring preparation of facilities

·        Ability to problem solve and build consensus

·        Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements (optional but preferred)

·        Ability to travel district wide and occasionally statewide

·        Ability to work occasional prolonged and irregular hours
