About Incarnate Word Academy

Incarnate Word Academy, a premier Catholic college preparatory school located in Corpus Christi, Texas, is dedicated to developing the whole student—spiritually, academically, and athletically. The IWA Athletic Department is in an exciting period of growth as our Varsity Football Program transitions from 6-man to 11-man competition beginning with the 2026 TAPPS alignment cycle.

We are seeking dynamic, faith-driven, and team-oriented coaches who are passionate about player development, leadership, and building a championship-caliber culture rooted in integrity, discipline, and service.

Available Coaching Positions

We are accepting applications for the following Varsity Football positions:

  • Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks Coach

  • Wide Receivers Coach

  • Offensive Line Coach

  • Defensive Coordinator / Linebackers Coach

  • Defensive Line Coach

  • Secondary Coach / Special Teams Coordinator

Ideal Candidates Will:

  • Exhibit strong faith-based leadership and alignment with IWA’s mission and values.

  • Bring proven experience coaching at the high school or collegiate level (TAPPS or UIL experience preferred).

  • Demonstrate a commitment to player development on and off the field.
  • Be knowledgeable in modern football systems, film breakdown, practice planning, and game management.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Head Coach, athletic staff, and faculty.

  • Possess strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

  • Be willing to contribute to the overall growth of the athletic department.

Additional Information

  • Teaching positions or campus roles may be available depending on experience and certification.

  • Seasonal stipends are offered; additional opportunities for year-round employment may exist within the school.
