Job Description

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or appropriate out-of-state Teaching Certificate

  • Ten years of successful experience in coaching football at the high school level or above

  • Head Coaching Experience preferred or Experience in 5A or 6A as a  offensive/defensive coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the high school athletic program in collaboration with middle school feeder programs

  • Monitor student-athlete academic performance and promote a philosophy of academic achievement

  • Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate student-athletes' abilities regularly

  • Ensure compliance with UIL rules and monitor student eligibility for extracurricular participation

  • Promote a positive climate that fosters student participation in campus activities

  • Coordinate with the District athletic department on policies and procedures

  • Oversee the maintenance and inventory of athletic facilities and equipment

  • Ensure compliance with UIL rules and monitor student eligibility for extracurricular participation.

  • Conduct regular meetings with coaching staff to ensure alignment and communication within the program.

  • Promote a positive climate that fosters student participation in campus activities.

  • Coordinate with the District athletic department on policies and procedures.

 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or appropriate out-of-state Teaching Certificate.

  • Ten years of successful experience in coaching football at the high school level or above.

  • Head coaching experience in a high school football program is preferred.
