Loma Alta Middle School is currently accepting applications for the position of CTE Teacher/Coach.

This is a dual-role opportunity to educate students in our CTE programs while also mentoring student-athletes through competitive sports.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:

Plan and deliver engaging curriculum aligned with state and national standard.

Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.

Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters respect, teamwork, and motivation.
Coaching:

Serve as an assistant coach in 2 or 3 sports.

Organize and lead team practices, games, and conditioning sessions.

Develop athletes’ skills, sportsmanship, and team unity.

Manage team logistics including communication with families, schedules, and transportation.

Ensure student-athletes meet academic and behavioral expectations
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid teaching certification in CTE
- Coaching experience at the Middle, High School and/or College level preferred
- CPR/First aid certification (or able to obtain)
- Commitment to student development, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred:
- Master's degree from an accredited university.
- Multi-sport coaching experience.
