Medina Valley Middle School is currently accepting applications for the position of PE/Health Teacher/Coach.

This is a dual-role opportunity to educate students on lifelong wellness, fitness, and health while also mentoring student-athletes through competitive sports.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

• Plan and deliver engaging PE and Health curriculum aligned with state and national standards

• Promote physical activity, healthy lifestyle choices, and personal wellness.

• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.

• Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters respect, teamwork, and motivation.

Coaching:

• Serve as an assistant coach in 2 or 3 sports.

• Organize and lead team practices, games, and conditioning sessions.

• Develop athletes’ skills, sportsmanship, and team unity.

• Manage team logistics including communication with families, schedules, and transportation.

• Ensure student-athletes meet academic and behavioral expectations

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid teaching certification in PE/Health
• Coaching experience at the Middle, High School and/or College level preferred
• CPR/First aid certification (or able to obtain)
• Commitment to student development, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred:

• Master's degree from an accredited university.
• Multi-sport coaching experience.
