Head Wrestling/Freshman Football Coach (Social Studies or SPED)

Position Overview:

Woodrow Wilson (Dallas) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Wrestling/Assistant Football Coach to join our athletic department. This individual will support the head coaches in developing student-athletes both on and off the field, fostering a culture of discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and conducting daily practices and training sessions for football and wrestling teams.
• Support game-day operations, including strategy, player management, and logistics.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes, promoting academic and personal growth.
• Help monitor athlete performance and contribute to conditioning and injury prevention programs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and school administration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree 
• Texas Teaching Certification
• Previous coaching or playing experience in football and track.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• CDL/CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass background check and meet all district/state coaching requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience coaching wrestling & football.
• Knowledge of strength and conditioning programs.
• Familiarity with video analysis tools and athletic performance software.
