Job Description
Woodrow Wilson (Dallas) is seeking a passionate and committed Assistant Football & Baseball Coach to support our athletic programs. The ideal candidate will assist in coaching student-athletes, promoting a positive team culture, and helping players develop both athletically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist head coaches in planning and executing practices, drills, and game strategies for both football and baseball.
- Support athletes during games, scrimmages, and tournaments.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive team environment.
- Monitor academic progress and character development of student-athletes.
- Help manage equipment, uniforms, and team logistics.
- Collaborate with athletic staff, trainers, and school administration.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Texas Teaching Certificate
- Prior coaching or playing experience in football and/or baseball.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- CDL/CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass background check and meet all district/state coaching requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience coaching specific football positions or baseball roles (e.g., pitching, infield).
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning programs.
- Familiarity with video analysis and performance tracking tools.
