Head Varsity Baseball Coach at MacArthur High School in Aldine ISD. Must be a certified teacher. All subject areas open. One will oversee entire baseball program grades 9-12 and handles scheduling, budget, field maintenance and fundraising. (Stipend for Head Varsity Baseball Coach)
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject
area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social
growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level
assigned
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
[Physical Education Teachers: Current automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Aldine Independent School District offers a coordinated boys and girls sports program grades 7-12, and is governed by the University Interscholastic League. In addition, eleven high school sports and seven middle school sports are offered.
All Aldine ISD High Schools compete in District 14-6A and are under the direction of the Aldine ISD Athletic Department. There are approximately 9,000 participants in the overall athletic program.
Aldine ISD has a rich tradition with their athletic programs. They are recognized throughout the state for a wide range of athletic talent in all sports. Aldine ISD has been successful state-wide.
