Job Description
We are currently seeking for an assistant volleyball coach. Second sport would be Softball or basketball. We are looking for someone who is passionate about kids and coaching. Volleyball returns a lot after winning the district championship last year. If you are interested, please send me your resume at smitheyb@wcisd.net.
Must have or be willing to obtain CDL.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation a comprehensive coaching program for volleyball and softball.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all student-athletes.
- Monitor and guide the academic progress of student-athletes.
- Plan and supervise practices, games, and tournaments.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure the overall success of students.
- Adhere to all school and district policies, as well as state and national regulations for the sports.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students to help them succeed in their academic and personal lives.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of volleyball and softball, including rules, strategies, and training techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and the community.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
Certifications:
Appropriate coaching certifications are required. Additional certifications in education or related fields would be considered an asset.
