Butterfield Country Club

Founded in 1920 in Oak Park, Illinois, Butterfield Country Club was established by a group of prominent West Side Chicago business and community leaders led by Rev. John Code. Created to meet the growing demand for golf in the western suburbs, the Club was built on more than 190 acres at Butterfield and Canfield Roads and officially incorporated in August 1920. Designed by architect Bill Langford, its three distinctive nines—now known as the Red, Blue, and White—opened in 1930. With a long-standing tradition of excellence, integrity, and community, Butterfield Country Club continues to uphold the high standards and welcoming spirit upon which it was founded.
